A 22-year-old man died in a hospital Tuesday night after a shooting in Kansas City.
A suspect in the shooting also showed up at a hospital Tuesday night with a gunshot wound. His injuries were minor, according to Capt. Richard Lockhart of the Kansas City Police Department. Police are guarding him at the hospital.
The shooting happened at 8:20 p.m. at 11th Street and Belmont after an argument broke out around parked cars, Lockhart said. Police do not know what the argument was about. The suspect and the victim may have known each other, he said. They may have been together in a group before the shooting.
Officers are looking for a red car that witnesses said pulled away from the scene.
