Police say Wichita baby's death is a homicide
Wichita police on Monday called the weekend death of a 10-month-old girl a homicide -- the city's 33rd overall and the ninth involving a child this year.

Layton agrees to be next Wichita city manager
Robert Layton announced Monday that he will accept the Wichita city manager job, ending nearly two weeks of speculation that he might reject the post after the City Council selected him on the slimmest of margins.
