DEAR REV. GRAHAM: How corrupt will the world have to get before God will decide to intervene and bring it all to an end? —A.H.
Dear A.H.: Yes, the world does seem to be getting worse. We have become like the people of Jeremiah's day: "Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush" (Jeremiah 6:15).
What is the problem? The problem is that we have left God out of our lives.
Are we nearing the time when God will intervene and Christ will come again to establish His Kingdom of perfect justice and righteousness? We don't know. But the Bible does give us a number of warning signs, many of which we see today. In the last days, the Bible says, "People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy" (2 Timothy 3:2).
