Dakota the Constant Companion, a 7-year-old female Australian cattle dog mix, is available for adoption through Kansas Humane Society.

Are you going to the kitchen? I'll follow you in there. Are you watching TV on the couch? Mind if I snuggle up beside you? I'm just looking for someone that I can spend lots of quality time with. You should stop by KHS and meet your next companion right away.

Also available:

•  Captain the Wallflower, 3-year-old male German shepherd mix

I'm just a happy, smiling dog. I'd be even happier by your side, though. Every day you came home, I'd be the first to greet you by the door. Don't we sound like a perfect match? You should visit with me at KHS today.

•  Mora the Personal Assistant, 1-year-old female cat, domestic long-hair mix

You know what's great about having a personal assistant? I can remove all the busyness from your schedule and pencil you in for some cat cuddling. Doesn't that sound like fun? Visit with your new assistant at KHS right away.

•  Gus the Party Animal, 2 1/2-year-old male cat, domestic medium-hair mix

Hi, I'm Gus and I'm just a fun furball of love. Are you using that string? If not, I'd like to play with it. Is that a shiny object? I'm going to play with that. Afterward, I'd like to lie down next to you. You should visit your best friend at KHS right away.

•  Snowball the Rabbit, 6-month-old male Jersey Wooly/Angora rabbit

I know it's cold outside, but this Snowball is filled with warmth and love. I could just snuggle in your arms all day. I really like fresh hay and carrots and would make a great first pet for someone. Visit with me at KHS today.
