Holiday Tables starts Thursday at Center for the Arts

Thirty-four tables will be decorated by local businesses, individuals, groups and nonprofits for this year’s Holiday Tables event at Wichita Center for the Arts.
The center’s Designing Women volunteer group will put on the decorating showcase, one of the earliest holiday events of the season, from Thursday through Nov. 9. This year’s theme: The Art of the Table.
Some of the table themes: baby shower, children’s Christmas table, earth gifts, brunch on the Serengeti, copper glam, Christmas at Santa’s, garden party. Wichita Collegiate School will be doing a table celebrating its 50th anniversary.
In addition to the tables, there will be a boutique of holiday and home-decor items from Traditions for sale as well as lunch and baked goods to purchase. Admission is $10 (no children under 8). Lunch is $12.
Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Proceeds from Holiday Tables benefit the Center for the Arts, at 9112 E. Central.
