Many of us are still mowing the lawn – or the leaves – but when you’re ready to put it away for the winter:

Run the engine until it’s out of gas.

It’s a good idea to clean the mower, sharpen the blade, change the oil, lubricate the engine and clean or replace the air filter.

Store the mower in a cool, dry place. If you cover it, use cloth, because plastic can trap moisture.

Last day for Holiday Tables

There’s still one more day to see 33 festive displays in Holiday Tables at the Wichita Center for the Arts, 9112 E. Central. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
