Tasks: We pulled out the remaining squash plants and sunflowers. We thinned radish seedlings and planted some greens for the fall in the Asian Garden. In the Family of Four Garden, we harvested some really nice chili peppers and planted lettuce and spinach for the fall. We also enjoyed a ripe cantaloupe from the garden.
Observations: Many of our tomato plants look about done, while a few still have green tomatoes on them. The peppers have really gotten a second wind and are producing well.
Challenges: While it is getting late to plant many fall vegetables, we are trying to get a few more seeds in the ground. It will be interesting to see how well they do.
Anticipated next week: Continued harvesting, deadheading, and thinning new seedlings.
