Target's newest limited-time additions: Subversive and Gryson.
Target's second collaboration with accessories designers debuted recently with the Subversive for Target jewelry collection by Justin Giunta.
The collection includes an eclectic mix of chunky charm bracelets, delicate drop earrings and bold block necklaces characterized by multiple layers and clusters of beads, ranging in price from $14.99 to $59.99.
Giunta's Subversive collection was nominated by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) for the 2008 Swarovski Award for Accessory Design.
Joy Gryson was also a CFDA nominee for the Accessory Design award, and her handbag collection is now in Target stores. The versatile collection features understated colors like slate blue and forest green in understated styles.
These bags won't grab your eye, but they could be nice staple pieces. The beauty of Gryson's bags is in the details like the woven texture, braided straps and cut-out handles. The exclusive Target collection ranges in price from $19.99 to $49.99.
In stores and online at target.com, the Subversive collection will be available through July, and the Gryson line will be available through June.
Isaac who?
Speaking of Target, the store's Go International Private Label Collection adds to the store's popular Go International line of limited-edition offerings by young and hip designers.
The private label collection -- which features mod little dresses, including a Grecian-style jersey dress that leaves one shoulder exposed; high-waisted skirts and pants; ruffled blouses; and a satiny romper -- will be in stores for about a month.
It will continue to appear between each limited-edition Go International designer collection -- Rogan Gregory's organic clothing is scheduled to arrive May 18 -- and give fashionistas who appreciate trendy designer looks at decent prices something to look forward to.
Perhaps it will soften the blow of the departure of Isaac Mizrahi's line when he defects for Liz Claiborne.
Prices start at $16.99 for a T-shirt. A pink and blue voile dress is one of the most expensive items, at $39.99.
