1. Newport Grill: That’s the name of the seafood restaurant that will fill the former Cibola space at Bradley Fair. The restaurant is a new concept by PB&J, the Kansas City-based company that owns Yia Yia’s Eurobistro. It will specialize in fresh fish and should open in November.
2. Anchor expansion: The Anchor, the popular downtown restaurant and bar at 1109 E. Douglas, is planning an expansion that will include knocking down a wall that separates the two sides of the bar, rebuilding the actual bar and adding a banquet/party room space. The remodel will allow The Anchor to have 60 beers on tap instead of 46. Construction should start soon.
3. Another Jimmy’s Egg: Clear Lakes Cafe, which closed recently at 2315 W. 21st St., will reopen as a Jimmy’s Egg.
