For years, no one told judges what kind of job they were doing. That changed in 2006. The Eagle and the Wichita Bar Association teamed to allow local attorneys to rate their experiences with the judges.
Every other year since then, weve asked lawyers to participate in an anonymous, online survey evaluating how judges perform in 10 areas.
From Sept. 6-30, 171 lawyers registered to practice in Sedgwick County District Court evaluated the performance of 28 judges in 10 areas. Lawyers logged on to the Wichita Bar Association web site using their bar license number and a password. This assured participants were licensed attorneys and that they voted only once. All responses were anonymous. You can look at each judge's results, compare them to other judges and past evaluations.
