Kansas K-9 ResQ will hold a low-cost microchip clinic for dogs and cats on Saturday at two Wichita veterinary clinics.

The service will be offered from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at East Douglas Veterinary Clinic, 8118 E. Douglas, Suite 109, and Caring Hearts Vet Clinic, 3701 W. Maple. The cost is $25, and proceeds benefit Kansas K-9 ResQ, a local dog rescue.

Fundraiser on Sunday to benefit K-9 Karma

K-9 Karma Animal Advocates Dog Rescue and Adoption will host a Tails and Spells fundraiser on Sunday at Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Blvd.

The event, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the park’s indoor shelter, will include a pet costume contest, silent auction, canine trick-or-treat and Halloween photos. All breeds of dogs are welcome, and rescue dogs will be available for adoption.

Admission is $2 for adults, free for ages 12 and under. Proceeds benefit K-9 Karma, a local nonprofit dog rescue group.
