Golf may be a sport played slowly, but if you want to get to a golfer’s heart in lightning speed, put a Cobra Men’s Special Edition orange AMP driver under the tree.

The traffic-cone color of the high-tech driver pays homage to young professional golfer Rickie Fowler, who dons his “Sunday Orange,” and who turned 24 last week.

“It’s a limited edition, so it will be one of a few, and golfers love to show up to the golf course with something no one else has,” said Brian Jones, store manager at The Golf Warehouse. “This is for someone who is passionate about golf, and it’s a good gift for someone who has everything.”

“First and foremost, it’s really designed for a better player,” said Josh Johnsrud, retail associate at The Golf Warehouse. “The shaft alone is pretty Tour-like.”

Johnsrud said the driver was product tested with 25,000 shots and the company found that “most golfers miss hit on a slanting elliptical on the face, so they made the sweet spot 30 percent larger, which allows for more distance and more forgiveness.”

Designers also aimed to provide more distance, which every golfer will appreciate.
