"The Jeff Dunham Show"

Comic-ventriloquist Jeff Dunham brings his gallery of supporting players — including Walter, Peanut, Bubba J, Jose Jalapeno on a Stick and Achmed the Dead Terrorist — to this half-hour comedy series featuring Dunham and puppets in performance before a live studio audience as well as interacting with "real people" in and around Los Angeles. 8 p.m., Comedy Central, Channel 58.

"The Perfect Storm"

Billy Tyne (George Clooney), captain of the fishing boat Andrea Gail, hasn't had very good luck lately. But he is hoping the final run of the season will change that. It does; the haul is excellent. But to get it back to shore before it spoils, the crew must go directly through the mother of all storms. Mark Wahlberg, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and John C. Reilly also star in director Wolfgang Petersen's fact-inspired 2000 adventure. 7 and 10 p.m., AMC, Channel 55.
