"The Chopping Block"

After host Marco Pierre White demonstrates one of his signature dishes, which uses only ingredients found in bottles and jars, the remaining three teams are tasked with re-creating the dish from their kitchen ingredients. The elimination challenge involves having to do both breakfast and lunch service, evaluated by Bon Appetit food critic Andrew Knowlton. 7 p.m., NBC and KSNW, Channel 3.

"Music and Lyrics"

Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore get to do what they do best in this genial romantic comedy, with Grant as a has-been singer who gets the surprising chance for a comeback when a musical teen queen (Haley Bennett) asks him to write a hit tune for her. He can come up with a melody but not the words, so he asks his plant lady (Barrymore) _ who has a way with improvising them _ to help him out. 7 and 9 p.m., TBS, Channel 29.
