A couple of popular restaurants that normally are open only dinner hours have added lunch – one temporarily and one permanently.
On Dec. 1, Bonefish Grill at 10250 E. 13th St. added daily lunch to its schedule. In April, the restaurant added Saturday-only lunch hours, but now it’s available seven days a week. The new hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 am. to 2 p.m. for Sunday brunch, then 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday for dinner. The restaurant has a separate lunch menu that includes a fish sandwich, fish and chips, a vegetarian pasta, a burger and its famous Bang Bang shrimp served in both a Po’ Boy and tacos. It also has a few items from the main menu, including crab cakes and filet mignon, served at a reduced price.
Carrabba’s, the Italian restaurant at 3409 N. Rock Road, started its temporary lunch hours today (Monday, Dec. 15). The new hours are for the convenience of holiday diners, managers said, and will last through Jan. 2. Until then, Carrabba’s is open from 11 am. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays. The regular menu is available.
Both restaurants, incidentally, are owned by Bloomin’ Brands Inc., a company that also has Outback Steakhouse in its umbrella. Outbacks across the country added daily lunch hours about a year ago.
