A new Mexican restaurant will open next month in the strip mall space at 3570 N. Woodlawn most recently occupied by Walt’s Old Tyme Hamburgers (and Smashburger before that.)
Lina’s Mexican Restaurant, a regional chain based out of Omaha, is taking over the spot and should be open by June, owners said.
Its menu lists all-day breakfast items, including huevos rancheros and sausage burritos. There’s also a long list of burritos, combination plates, tortas, quesadillas, tacos, salads and more. Lina’s is a 24-hour place with a drive-through, although owners haven’t decided yet if it will be open 24 hours right after it opens in Wichita or if they’ll put those hours in place later.
Lina’s has two stores in Omaha, one in La Vista, Neb., and one in Des Moines.
Never miss a local story.
