Last weekend’s Food Trucks at the Fountain food truck meetup had one un-billed truck.
Lynn’s Curbside Cookout wasn’t on the original list of trucks scheduled to be at the event. But it was there – and soon will be everywhere.
The truck is only sort of new to the scene. It was called Stubby’s BBQ when Kendra Hill took it over late last summer from original owner Ken “Stubby” Hutlman. She operated it occasionally downtown and was among the food vendors at the Blacktop Nationals.
Hill, whose middle name is Lynn, closed down the truck for the winter and took the time to give it a paint job and a name change. It’s now red all over and decorated with its new name and logo. She is still serving a menu filled with barbecue items including pulled pork nachos, hot link nachos, smoked chicken salad sandwiches and more.
Hill is updating her daily location on her new Facebook page. She plans to become a regular at Food Trucks at the Fountain and is parking at businesses around town. She’ll be at Convergys, 7236 E. Harry, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and at the Old 54 Outdoor Market in Augusta from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
