Wichita is down a diner.
Curly’s American Diner at 1530 S. Webb Road announced on its Facebook page on Wednesday that it was closing and would not reopen. Customers flooded the comments section of the post with declarations of distress.
The restaurant opened last May in the 1950s diner that’s been home to several businesses over the years, most recently Burger House. Curly’s was opened by David Rohr and two partners, Carlos Magana and Stephen Joseph. I have messages in to Rohr to try to get more information about the closing.
The restaurant served comfort food dishes, ranging from chicken fried steak to pot roast.
Never miss a local story.
I’ll let you know if I find out more.
