Martinis on a school night might not sound like a good idea, but I’ve decided they are.
That’s because I’m going to be a judge at the third annual Shaken Not Stirred event, which is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 1 at Abode Venue. And the organizers have offered me two tickets to give away to my readers.
Shaken Not Stirred is a fundraiser for Tallgrass Film Association, and it asks local restaurants and bars to mix up their best martinis, competition style. Participants this year are The Anchor, Gianni Bacci (the new tapas place Taste & See’s Jason Febres is about to open), Harvest Kitchen/Bar, Larkspur, the Monarch, Mort’s and Public at the Brickyard.
Ticket holders are invited to sip and vote for their favorite martini and sample hors d’oeuvres from Rain Cafe & Lounge. Cigars will be provided by the Humidor East Cigar Bar. Wine and beer also will be served, and music will be provided by Dueling Pianos and DJ Carbon.
Never miss a local story.
The crowd is asked to dress in black and white, and bow ties are requested.
Tickets are $65, so this prize is worth.... pulling out calculator... $130.
To enter, go to the Dining with Denise Facebook page and leave a comment on the post about the contest. Share the post to let your friends know about it. I’ll randomly draw a winner Monday, March 24 and reply to his/her comment. Check your "OTHER" folder as sometimes Facebook places messages there.
