The owners of Abelardo’s, a fast-Mexican restaurant that opened at the corner of Maple and West in 2010, packed up and headed back to Omaha, where the regional chain is based.
But they sold the business to a local man named Jose Carlos, who has changed the name of the restaurant to Los Jaliscienses.
He took over on Dec. 1, and for now, he’s keeping the exact same menu and hours.
He has plans to eventually add items such as shrimp cocktail, menudo and more Mexican desserts.
