Where to eat on Easter

Easter is one of those Sundays when local restaurants like to put on a show, loading their typical buffets with sugar-glazed hams, ready-to-carve prime rib, pretty pastries and more.

The feast is just a little more than a week away, but restaurants already have their plans made – and you should, too.

Use this list to plan your Easter dining, and call soon for a reservation.

Corporate Caterers at Comotara Banquet Hall, 2949 N. Rock Road, 316-264-9167. Buffet $21.95 for adults, $16.95 for seniors, $8.95 for ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and under. Served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Zaytun, 2020 N. Woodlawn, 316-613-2474. Pakistani brunch $16.95 for adults, $14.95 for seniors, $9.95 for ages 4-9, free for ages 4 and under. Served 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Nonbuffet options

The Muse, inside the Wichita Art Museum, 1400 W. Museum Blvd., 316-268-4921. The restaurant an a la carte Easter brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are recommended.

Birds on the Roof, 550 N. Rock Road, 316 -558-8288: The restaurant is offering a five course brunch with several choices per course. It’s $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Reservations are recommended.

Jimmie’s Diner, 3111 N. Rock Road and 1519 S. George Washington Drive. Both locations will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Easter and will serve eggs Benedict with hash browns, King’s X Waffles and Easter shakes.

Stroud’s, 3661 N. Hillside, 316-838-2454: The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Easter and will offer its full dinner menu plus special entrees featuring brown sugar-glazed ham and colossal shrimp. Reservations are recommended.

Public at the Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island, 316-263-4044: The restaurant will serve a plated brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that will include options such as salmon flatbread and corned beef hash They’ll also have $5 mimosas and bloody Marys as well as live music.
