Introducing BJs Brewhouse

The giant new restaurant is scheduled to open Monday at 7960 E. Kellogg. A few things you should know about it:


The menu: BJs offers a giant menu that includes steaks, pastas, salads, burgers, sandwiches, deep-dish pizzas, giant stuffed baked potatoes and more. It has gluten-free offerings plus chicken and fish dishes and an extensive kids menu.


The beers: The restaurant also offers a long list of beers on tap, including a large selection of its own craft beers. It’s known for its award-winning Belgian-style wheat beer and offers seasonal flavors, such as pumpkin beer in the fall.

Free Starbucks Refreshers

Starbucks stores are introducing their new Refreshers by giving them away from noon to 3 p.m. Friday. All of Wichita’s stores will offer free tall sizes of the drink, which mimics an energy drink and offers a boost from green coffee extract. The drinks are made with real fruit juice, B and C vitamins and ginseng. Flavors available Friday will be Cool Lime and Very Berry Hibiscus.

New Cocoa Dolce hours

Cocoa Dolce, the chocolate shop and more in Bradley Fair, 2132 N. Rock Road, recently extended its hours in hopes of attracting customers in need of an early morning coffee fix or meeting spot. The new hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. In addition to artisan chocolates, the store also offers free WiFi, seven different hot chocolates, an espresso bar, a wine bar and gelato. For more information, call 316-866-2906.
