Legendary Irish rock group U2 will perform at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in September, according to the official Kansas City Chiefs website.
According to the website, U2 announced Tuesday that its Joshua Tree Tour 2017 has added seven additional North American stadium shows, including a stop at Arrowhead on Sept. 12.
Tickets for the show will go on sale to the public Monday, with Chiefs-specific presales beginning Friday.
The band confirmed the news on its website.
The show will mark the 50th concert or music festival at Arrowhead, the website said. September’s show will be U2’s third visit to the stadium. The band first visit was part of its ZOO TV Tour in 1992; it also performed at Arrowhead during the PopMart Tour in 1997.
Ticket prices start at $35, according to the Chiefs site. An opening act will be announced at a later date.
