Lydia Loveless at Lizard Lounge
Lydia Loveless at Lizard Lounge. Say that three times fast, then mark your calendar to attend her show, which is at 9 p.m. Friday at the venue, 300 S. Greenwich Road. Loveless is an alternative country singer and songwriter from Ohio who is touring in support of her just-released new album, “Somewhere Else.” The show starts at 9 p.m., and admission is $5 at the door. Rob Thomas the Stiefel
The Stiefel Theatre in Salina still has a few tickets available for a concert next week by Rob Thomas, the Grammy-winning solo artist and lead singer of the band Matchbox Twenty. His show is at 8 p.m. Thursday at the theater, 151 S. Santa Fe in Salina. Thomas is best known for solo hits such as “Lonely No More” and “This Is How a Heart Breaks” and for songs he performed with Matchbox Twenty, including “Bent” and “If You’re Gone.” He’s also known for “Smooth,” a collaboration with Santana. Tickets are $78 and $88 by calling the Stiefel at 785-827-1998 or at stiefeltheatre.org or ticketmaster.com.
Sons of the Pioneers at Prairie Rose
Western group Sons of the Pioneers will perform at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper, 15321 SW Parallel St. in Benton on Friday and Saturday night. Horse-drawn wagon rides start at 5 p.m., and an all-you-can-eat chuck wagon supper starts at 6:30 p.m. The show follows. Tickets are $40. For reservations, call 316-778-2121.
