Nightlife list this weekend: Southern-style rock, emerging artists at Orpheum, Finer at Rock Island Live

Southern-style rock

Louisiana-based blues rock band Royal Southern Brotherhood will play at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg. The show will also feature Rachelle Coba Band. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Call 316-722-4201 or visit to purchase tickets.

Emerging artists at Orpheum

The Orpheum kicks off its Emerging Artists Series with the Tontons, an alternative rock group from Houston, Texas, at 8 p.m. Thursday. The series will feature eclectic and relatively unknown bands from around the country. Upcoming acts include Jared & the Mill (May 27) and Graham Colton (June 26). Finer at Rock Island Live

Husband and wife Stacy and Ethan make up electronic pop-rock duo, Finer, who will play Rock Island Live, 101 N. Rock Island, at 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 at the door.
