Paramount brings ’80s to the Cotillion

Paramount, a popular 1980s tribute band from Salina, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Cotillion, 11121 W. Kellogg. The group, which travels around the region, features Eddie Light and Kristi Gray on vocals and covers ’80s hits from bands such as Journey, Joan Jett and Pat Benatar. Music, art and poetry at Shift Space

The Wichita State University Shift Space Student Art Gallery at 416 S. Commerce, suite 102, is putting on A Nite Without Stars, an event featuring live music, art performance and poetry. The lineup includes artists such as Daniel Martin, Adam C. Achey, Heather Powell and Living Ghost, and the event also will include tea, coffee and other refreshments. Shel at Dyck Arboretum

Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston continues its Plains Prairie Window Concert Series on Sunday with a concert by Shel, a Colorado-based folk group made up of four sisters. The concert starts at 4 p.m. at the venue, which is at 177 W. Hickory St. in Hesston. The concert will be in the arboretum’s new Prairie Pavilion. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and can be reserved by calling 620-327-8127.
