Musician Kelly Werts is making his return to the Artichoke Sandwich Bar, 811 N. Broadway, at 8 p.m. Friday. Werts, who specializes in folk and Americana music, plays guitar and even the spoons. He formerly was a member of the 1980s band Sons of Rayon, which will also perform Friday. The show will also feature Werts’ wife and his violinist daughter, Diana and Molly. Jenny Wood and the Watchers at Shamrock Lounge

Jenny Wood and the Watchers will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Shamrock Lounge, 1724 W. Douglas. All five members teach music on the side, while Wood, the band’s vocalist, has been touring with the Wichita band Gooding. The group performs covers of songs by Janis Joplin, Adele and others. HeadScott Allan Knost at Mort’s

Mort’s Martini and Cigar Bar, 923 E. First St., will showcase local musician Scott Allan Knost at 9 p.m. Friday. Knost has brought percussive acoustic pop rock to bars, coffee shops and auditoriums around the country. He went solo in 2007 and covers acts such as John Mayer and Britney Spears – with his own twist. Admission is $2, and the show starts at 9 p.m. For more information, call 316-262-1785.
