Indie kazoo folk
Minneapolis-based indie folk duo Bella Ruse , who describe their sound as "kind of like Feist would sound like if she also played a mean kazoo," will perform at 9:30 p.m. tonight at The Bayleaf, 3700 E. Douglas. The duo appeared as part of the Lilith Fair in 2010 and are traveling around the country in a tour van powered by vegetable oil. Admission is free.
Split Lip at the Arb
Long-running Wichita band Split Lip Rayfield will perform a 4 p.m. concert Sunday at Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine as part of the venue's Tree House Concert Series. Tickets are $10 at the gate, and gates open at 3 p.m. Lyon's Den BBQ, Luciano's lettuce wraps and caprese kabobs will be sold, or attendees can pack a picnic lunch. Rock out for charity
Jerry's Bar & Grill, the music-friendly venue at 630 N. Robin Road, is putting on a benefit concert for the March of Dimes from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The event will feature several classic rock bands, including Get Bad! and White Hot Prophet. The event also will include a silent auction and a charity raffle.
