Screen scene: Oscar shorts at the library

The Wichita Public Library again will present screenings of Academy Award-nominated animated, live-action and documentary short films through March 1. Admission to all screenings is free. Most films are unrated and may not be suitable for all audiences.

The Wichita Public Library again will present screenings of Academy Award-nominated animated, live-action and documentary short films through March 1. Admission to all screenings is free. Most films are unrated and may not be suitable for all audiences.

Here is the schedule:

• Programs showing all short films in all categories:

10 a.m. Saturday, Warren Theatre (west), 9150 W. 21st St.

10 a.m. March 1, Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway

• Programs showing animated and live-action categories:

1 p.m. Sunday, Alford Branch Library, 3447 S. Meridian

4 p.m. Tuesday, Westlink Branch Library, 8515 Bekemeyer

Noon Wednesday, Evergreen Branch Library, 2601 N. Arkansas

1 p.m. Feb. 28, Maya Angelou Northeast Branch Library, 3051 E. 21st St.

6 p.m. Feb. 28, Derby Public Library, 1600 Walnut Grove Road, Derby

• Programs showing documentary shorts only:

4 p.m. Monday, Rockwell Branch Library, 5939 E. Ninth St.

5 p.m. Thursday, Derby Public Library

• Programs showing live-action shorts only:

5 p.m. Wednesday, Evergreen Branch Library
