Share the Season is an annual campaign that offers one-time aid to people affected by unforeseen hardships. The people are not identified to protect their privacy.
The single mother of a 15-year-old son is worried about how she will pay her monthly bills.
Lately, she's faced some hardships.
She's had tooth infections that have caused her to take time off work and be on costly antibiotics.
Never miss a local story.
It will cost more than $3,600 for her to get her teeth fixed, even with dental insurance, she wrote on her application to Share the Season.
"If I could get help with this, I would not get infections," she said in an interview with The Eagle.
"There is no way I can pay for it on my own with the wages I make — and still take care of me and my son."
