You can see 35 tables decorated for all occasions, including the holidays, this weekend at the Wichita Center for the Arts. The theme is "An Occasion to Gather."
The Designing Women volunteer group puts on the event to raise money for the center. Admission is $10, and children under 8 are not allowed.
A nativity set sculpted by students at the center and Christmas trees that businesses have decorated and donated will be offered in a silent auction.
In addition to seeing the tables and getting decorating ideas, you can eat at the holiday tea room, open for lunch today and for tea on Sunday. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today, and the cost is $12. On Sunday, a tea featuring sweet and savory items will be served from 1 to 3 p.m. for $10 a person.
There is also a bake sale and boutique today and Sunday where baked goods, Christmas decorations and home decor items will be sold.
Hours for Holiday Tables are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wichita Center for the Arts, 9112 E. Central.
