To celebrate the 50th anniversary of his music career, Neil Diamond announced a mega-tour Wednesday morning complete with a July stop in Wichita.
The 75-year-old “Sweet Caroline” singer will play on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Intrust Bank Arena, as part of his “50th Anniversary World Tour.”
As part of that tour, he is traveling throughout North America, and tour dates in Europe will be announced soon.
Diamond was last in Wichita in 1996, when he played for a crowd of about 10,000 at the Kansas Coliseum, according to an archived Eagle review.
Tickets range from $39.50 to $149.50.
Or, if you’re an American Express cardholder, you can purchase tickets early through the card – from 10 a.m. Dec. 5 to 10 p.m. Dec. 8.
Diamond has won a Golden Globe Award, 13 Grammy nominations, and the Kennedy Center Honor for his lifetime of contributions to American culture.
