BURGERS AND BREWS AT THE HYATT


The hotel at 400 W. Waterman is offering a summertime promotion that pairs gourmet burgers with beers. The burgers range in price from $9 to $15 and come with seasoned fries and a house-made pickle. A paired-by-an-expert beer also is available for $5. The burgers and brews are available for lunch or dinner daily at the Harvest Kitchen or Harvest Bar. Among the choices:

1. Angus beef burger with cucumber slices and chipotle dressing.

2. Blue crab-cake burger with fennel slaw, lettuce, tomato and chives.

3. Ginger-lime soy chicken burger with ginger-lime glaze, Napa cabbage slaw and crispy wontons.

4. Grilled eggplant burger with roasted tomato, mozzarella, arugula and pesto mayonnaise.

5. Kobe beefburger with grilled pineapple, white cheddar cheese, bacon, organic egg and herbed mayonnaise.

A GOOD DEAL

Pei Wei in NewMarket Square at 2441 N. Maize Road has added sesame chicken to the menu through Aug. 23, and to encourage diners to try it, the restaurant will offer 25 percent off the dish on Wednesday, July 1.

Sake with your sushi

Gindi Thai & Japanese Diner at 7010 W. 21st St. recently obtained its liquor license and now is serving cocktails, martinis, sake, imported Japanese beers and more with its full menu of sushi and Asian dishes. The dine-in restaurant also is about to open a drive-through window. Gindi is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Beijing meal deal

Beijing Bistro at 11309 E. Kellogg is starting a new three-course meal offer that will be available Sundays through Thursdays throughout the summer. The meal will include a crab Rangoon and Shanghai-style egg roll, followed by choice of hot and sour or egg drop soup, then a choice of entree from a list of 20, served with steamed or fried rice.
