Weekend events: Masked ball, improv

The Wichita Area Chapter of USA Dance will have a masked ball featuring ballroom dancing along with some swing and salsa from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Wichita Boathouse, 515 S. Wichita. DJ Ronnie Choy will provide the music; attire is Victorian-era formal. Inexpensive masks will be available for purchase, and there will be refreshments and a cash bar. Partners not required. Advance tickets $20, $15 for members, and $10 for college students by calling 316-519-4333; tickets $5 more at the door.

East High Nights of Broadway

East High’s Fine Arts Department will perform selections from Broadway Shows during the “Nights of Broadway” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the school at 2301 E. Douglas. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, at the door.

Say What at Old Cowtown

Wichita’s Say What?! Improv troupe will have its next show at Old Cowtown Museum at 8 p.m. Saturday, in the Empire House Theater. The troupe involves the audience in its comedy acts, which are for mature audiences only, ages 16 and older. Doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $10, available at the door or in advance at www.wichitatix.com or 316-303-8100. The museum is at 1865 W. Museum Blvd.
