Arts events (Aug. 16)

Art that celebrates the spirit of skateboarding – and some art even created on skateboard decks – will be celebrated Saturday at the opening of the “Get Rad 2013” exhibit at the Go Away Garage, 508 S. Commerce. The event, put on by the Wichita Skateboarding Society, will last from 6 to 10 p.m. and will include a video premiere of tricks being performed by local skateboarding heroes. Admission is free, and the exhibit will be up through Aug. 30. For more information, call 316-263-9455.
