Second City, Chicago’s legendary sketch and improv comedy troupe, will perform at the Orpheum Theatre on April 12, the theater announced Tuesday.
The group’s new show, “The Second City Hits Home,” will feature sketches, songs and improvisation about Wichita, as well as material from the Second City archives.
Many comedians got their big breaks at Second City, which has theaters in Chicago and Toronto. The troupe’s list of prominent alumni includes John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Mike Myers, Gilda Radner, John Candy, Tina Fey and Steve Carell.
Tickets to the April 12 show are $27.50 to $32.50. They go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday and are available at Select-A-Seat outlets, at 855-755-7328 or at www.selectaseat.com. They also can be purchased in person at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, participating Dillons stores and Plant Employee Clubs.
