Nearly Deads are the Orpheum’s next Emerging Artists
The Nearly Deads, an on-the-rise alternative rock band from Nashville with a lead singer, Theresa Jeane, who was born and raised in Wichita, will be the next performers in the Orpheum Theatre’s Emerging Artist Series. The group, which just landed a spot on the annual Vans Warped Tour, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the theater, 200 N. Broadway. The group also will perform an acoustic set and greet fans at Scholfield Honda, 7017 E. Kellogg, at noon on Friday, when the dealership will serve free pizza and give away tickets to the show. Sick Puppies at the Cotillion
Australian hard rock band Sick Puppies will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cotillion, 11127 W. Kellogg. Doors for the show, which is open to all ages, open at 7 p.m. The opening acts are Like a Storm and Stars in Stereo. Ghost Wolves to perform at Rock Island Live
Husband-and-wife rock ’n’ roll duo the Ghost Wolves will bring their tour promoting their new album, “Man, Woman, Beast,” to Rock Island Live, 101 N. Rock Island, on Monday.
