Transformers Expo this weekend

The TF-Expo, which happens Friday through Sunday at the Holiday Inn at 549 S. Rock Road, is a family-friendly Transformers convention that features appearances by voice actors Neil Ross and Sumalee Mantano. It also will include a video game tournament, artists, panels, a cosplay contest and more. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for ages 6 to 12 on Friday and Sunday and $20 for adults, $15 for ages 6 to 12 on Saturday. Children 5 and under will be admitted free. ‘American Idol Live’ at casino

“American Idol Live,” a show featuring the stars of the popular show’s 13th season, will arrive at Kansas Star Arena at 777 Kansas Star Drive in Mulvane at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The show will feature winner Caleb Johnson, runner-up Jena Irene and the rest of the top 10 finalists. Tickets are $35 to $55 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com. Synchronized swimming show at Indian Hills

Swimmers ages 6 to 16 will perform as part of the Summer Nights Synchronized Swim Show, an annual event at Indian Hills Swim Club, 1158 N. Meridian. They’ll perform water dances to summer songs such as Katy Perry’s “Firework” and the Beach Boys’ “Surfin’ Safari.” Admission to the show, which starts at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, is $5.
