Century II will host a Bridal Expo this weekend. The exhibition offers two days to browse more than 150 booths featuring bridal stores, florists, catering, cakes, photographers, DJs, event planners, venues, decor, limos, beauty and more. Models and Images will show off the latest bridal attire with fashion shows both days. The event is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in Exhibition Hall, 225 W. Douglas. Craftapalooza returns to Century II, 225 W. Douglas, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature a blend of handcrafted one-of-a kind items, artisan-designed boutique goods, antiques and jewelry. Admission is $3. Children younger than 12 are admitted free. Urban Bookfest at Abode
Four local black authors from Wichita are organizing the Urban Bookfest for Sunday evening at Abode Venue, 1330 E. Douglas. The free event includes music, food and readings by Tina Beasley, “Madam Honey,” Charles E. Brown, “Bad Coffy”, Kevin Harrison, “Cameron Banks: The Reality Show,” and Wilma Holloway, “The Last Man.” The event is from 6 to 9 p.m.
Summer concert series at WaterWalk
The third show in KEYN’s free summer concert series begins at 8 p.m. Friday at WaterWalk Plaza, 515 S. Main, with a performance by Crosstown Traffic. Bring your own lawn chair. Food sales and pre-concert entertainment begins at 7 p.m.
