Tuesdays on the Terrace
Pop & the Boys will be musical entertainment at “Wisteria and Wine,” this week’s Tuesdays on the Terrace event at Botanica Gardens, 701 Amidon. The Bar’s Open will sell drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the summer garden is open for viewing until 8 p.m. Admission is $7, $3 for members. Visit www.botanica.org for more information.
Music and art
The Ulrich Museum is hosting two events Thursday night. It begins with a free reception for Ulrich Underground artist-in-residence, Lisa Solomon, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the museum, 1845 Fairmount St. The Oakland, Calif.-based artist is creating a new installation using crowdsourcing.
Then, bring your lawn chair, and listen to music from Ellis Paul as part of the free summer music series Art For Your Ears. Ellis is a folk singer-songwriter from Boston. The show starts at 7 p.m. at McKnight Outdoor Plaza (between Ulrich Museum and School of Art and Design at WSU). For more information, call 316-978-3664.
‘The Three Little Pigs’
“The Three Little Pigs” is the latest “picnic theatre production” put on by the Wichita Children’s Theatre & Dance Center, 201 S. Lulu. Showtimes are 10 a.m. and noon Thursday; 10 a.m., noon, and 6:30 p.m. July 11; and 10 a.m. and noon July 18. All noon and 6:30 p.m. shows ($7.50) include pizza. The 10 a.m. shows ($6) include cookies. Registration required. Call 316-262-2282 for more information.
