Upcoming events: Holiday Galleria, Taste of Home, Art on the Trail, Rosstoberfest

The annual Holiday Galleria shopping event put on by the Junior League of Wichita opens on Thursday and runs through Oct. 13 at the Century II Expo Hall. This is the 10th year for the event, which fills Century II with more than 115 regional and national merchants. The event opens on Thursday with a $60-a-person premiere party that will feature live music, appetizers and adult beverages. Tickets to that party are available at www.holidaygalleria.org. Regular shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 11, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13, and admission is $10. There’s also a Girls Night Out event from 5 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 11 that’s $17 in advance, $20 day of the event and will include appetizers, margaritas and entertainment. Tickets to those events are available at wichitatix.com.
