A busy weekend in Wichita

The final weekend of September is filled with options for those seeking to be entertained. Following is a list of some of them:

Wichita Flight Festival: The annual event, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, will feature air shows, static displays and kids activities. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with a twilight air show and concert, which requires $10 admission, from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. It’s at Jabara Airport, 3512 N. Webb Road. Concerts at the Orpheum: The venue at 200 N. Broadway has several big-name shows scheduled through the weekend and into next week. The Bob & Tom Comedy Show, which features comedians from the popular radio show, will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $31. On Saturday, folk group The Kingston Trio will perform at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25-$50. Then on Thursday, R&B singer Aaron Neville will perform. Marshall Tucker Band at the Cotillion: Southern rockers the Marshall Tucker Band will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $28 at the door. For more information, call 316-722-4201.

Wichita Blues Society’s Fall Blues Crawl: The annual event is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at venues around Old Town. A $10 wristband, available at any of the venues, allows attendees to see blues bands at Mort’s, Loft 150, Jon’s Ale House, the Brickyard, Heroes, Club Indigo and Rock Island Live and attend an after party from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Brickyard. Kansas Glass & Porcelain Artists Convention: Members of the public can shop for art supplies and painted items at this convention, which is this weekend at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview, 400 W. Douglas. They can visit from 8 a.m. to noon, 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Old Town Rocks finale: The final concert in the summer concert series will feature Doors tribute band Moonlight Drive and will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday in Old Town Square. Admission is free.
