Richard Marx performs free Andover concert
Adult contemporary star Richard Marx, known for hits such as “Endless Summer Nights” and “Right Here Waiting,” will play a free concert in Andover Central Park, 1607 E. Central in Andover, at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Those who attend must have free tickets, which can be obtained at Andover businesses listed at www.971bobfm.com. Tickets are limited, so fans are encouraged to call the businesses for availability.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Access to the park will begin at 6 p.m. The event will include a food court with food trucks and other vendors, who will sell dinner, drinks and dessert.
A fireworks display will follow the concert.

Tickets for Orpheum’s new shows on sale Saturday
The Wichita Orpheum Theatre recently added six new shows to its 2013 lineup. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday by calling 316-755-SEAT, at Select-A-Seat outlets or by visiting www.selectaseat.com. The shows are:
• Dwight Yoakam, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20, $39-$99
• The Kingston Trio, 8 p.m. Sept. 28, $25-50
• Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin, 8 p.m. Nov. 1, $24.50-$44.50
• Glenn Miller Orchestra, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7, $22.50-$33.50
• Peter Nero, 8 p.m. Dec. 6, $40-$100
• American English, 8 p.m. Dec. 14. $18-$28
