Carillon concert on Friday

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum, 204 S. Main, will have its annual Bloomfield Carillon Christmas Concert at noon Friday. Dean Roush, a professor and the director of musicology/composition at Wichita State University, will perform the concert, which rings out through downtown. People are encouraged to listen at Heritage Square Park behind the museum for the best sound. Admission is free. For more information, call 316-265-9314 or visit www.wichitahistory.org.
Skate with Santa
The Wichita Ice Center, 505 W. Maple, invites ice skaters to Skate with Santa from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Skaters are encouraged to bring a camera to take a picture with Santa. Admission is $2 with a nonperishable food item for the Kansas Food Bank or $7 without a food item. Skate rental is $3. Gingerbread house building
“Build a House for a House” is an annual fundraising event put on by Pi Iota Chi, a sorority from Wichita State University, that allows participants to pay $3 and build a gingerbread house. The event is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Towne East Square, 7700 E. Kellogg. It’ll be on the lower level outside Sears, near where Santa is accepting visitors. Proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House. All supplies are provided. For more information, call 316-648-4646.
