There’s still time to dig into your photo albums and enter The Wichita Eagle’s holiday photo contest.
Here are the complete contest rules. Read carefully:
Entrants are invited to submit an original holiday snapshot and the story behind the image. A panel of judges will select a group of finalists, with consideration given to the quality and content of both the photo and the essay.
Entries must be received by Wednesday at Kansas.com/entertainment.
Online voting will run from Saturday through noon Dec. 16 on Kansas.com. Registered users can cast one vote per day during the voting period.
We’ll publish winning entries in The Eagle and on Kansas.com on Dec. 23. The first-place winner will receive a $200 gift card. Second place gets a $150 gift card, third place gets a $100 gift card, and one honorable mention winner will get a $50 gift card.
Entrants must be Kansas residents, at least 13 years old and can enter once.
If the photo was not taken by the entrant, the entrant must get permission from the photographer before entering.
Essays will be limited to 500 words. Each entry must contain the entrant’s name, age, current hometown and a daytime phone number. Entrants must make themselves available for photographs and interviews during the week of Dec. 17 for stories that will appear in the paper and at Kansas.com. on Dec. 23.
