If you have public events you'd like to promote to the largest local online audience in our region, The Wichita Eagle can help.
On Nov. 3 and Nov. 10, at 3:30 p.m., The Eagle will offer a workshop on how to list your events for free at Kansas.com, which reaches tens of thousands of Wichita-area residents every day.
Any group, venue or organization that holds entertainment events open to the public is invited to attend. This includes art galleries, performance groups, nonprofit organizations, museums, schools and educational groups and music venues.
It also includes clubs, bars, restaurants and bands that perform in them. Any entertainment venue that is open to the public is welcome to attend one of the workshops.
Features editor Lori Linenberger will demonstrate how to use The Eagle's new online calendar, now featured on the home page at Kansas.com.
Find out how to list special events, and also how to include important information for your venue such as hours of operation, admission costs, attractions, specials and more.
Refreshments will be offered. RSVP is not required.
The workshop will take place at The Eagle at 825 E. Douglas. Parking is available behind the Eagle building. Guests should use the main entrance and an Eagle employee will direct them to the workshop.
