They call it the We're Not Back to School Bash, but it really is a party to celebrate the start of a new school year at Wichita State University. Here's what you need to know if you're thinking about going:
1) The party has become something of a tradition for Wichita State students , but is open to the public. Last year's WSU grads get in free.
2) The event features food, drink and live music by two local bands, the A.J. McCausland Band and Annie Up.
3) Partygoers can take their chances hitting a WuPinata as part of the festivities, which will be from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Woodman Alumni Center at Wichita State University.
Never miss a local story.
4) Admission is $10 for alumni association members and $20 for nonmembers. For more information, call 316-978-5090.
