Fans of the "Star Wars" film saga will be out in force Saturday — some in costume — to hear and watch "Star Wars: In Concert" at Intrust Bank Arena.
Here are details about the show:
1) The two-hour show combines composer John Williams' memorable music from the six "Star Wars" movies, performed by an 86-person orchestra and accompanied by a 60-member chorus, with specially edited footage playing on a three-story LED screen.
2) British actor Anthony Daniels, who played the role of persnickety golden robot C-3PO in the "Star Wars" saga, narrates the program, which includes special effects and a laser-light show.
3) An exhibit of props, costumes, storyboards, models and more from the Lucasfilm archives will be on view for ticketholders to examine before and during the show.
"Star Wars: In Concert" will be at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Intrust Bank Arena. Tickets range from $25 to $65 at the arena box office or Select-A-Seat outlets. Charge by phone at 316-755-SEAT.
A good deal
