Singer and choreographer Arthur Marks returns to Wichita this weekend for a performance Saturday night. Here are the details:
1) Marks will be performing in the second annual Word & Note : The Divine Arts of Knowledge and Exultation at Plymouth Congregational Church. The program is an effort to bring notable artists to the community.
2) Marks' appearance will be at 7 p.m. Saturday. He'll be accompanied by organist David Josefiak.
3) Marks graduated from Bethel College. His career highlights include the role of "Ugly Duckling" on the first American cast recording of HONK!, which he recorded with Music Theatre of Wichita. He has performed on numerous local stages, with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and as a guest artist for Heart of America Men's Chorus.

Mark your calendar for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Music by Mozart, Beethoven, Gershwin and Vaughan Williams will be performed by the Wichita State University Symphony Orchestra. The concerto-aria concert, starring five student soloists chosen by audition, will be directed by Mark Laycock. It's in Wilner Auditorium on the WSU campus. Tickets are $7.
