It may not be Final Friday, but Commerce Street will be featuring art today from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Go Away Garage, 508 S. Commerce. David Friday and Elly Fitzig will open their joint show "Hues on First: Colorful Painting." Admission is free.
' Rocky Horror'
The Tallgrass Film Festival on Saturday will put on an interactive midnight showing of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Tickets to the film are $9 at the door, and Tallgrass will be selling participation kits for an additional $3. Art 21 preview

Wichita State University's Ulrich Museum of Art will have a special preview of the PBS Series "Art 21: Art in the 21st Century" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The fifth season of the show marks the third time that the Ulrich has collaborated with local organizations to provide public preview parties. Audiences see the newest episode, in its entirety, before release on PBS. Admission to the screening is free.
Be a rock star
Rock Star Thursdays are now a weekly staple at Rock Island Live, 101 N. Rock Island. It's a showcase that features live performances by local artists on the rise. This Thursday's artists include Jenny Wood (alternative/rock/ acoustic), Mr. Dotcom (hip-hop) and James Paul (acoustic/R&B). It goes from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission is $3 before 10 p.m. and $5 after 10 p.m.
